The Awakening

This was a very good story to show how women were treated at the time era and it was not very good for them at all. One of the points in the story that it showed was at the start of the story when the husband said he was going to play pool and the wife asked when he would be home and he said he did not know and that is showing that many of the men at the time did not care about their wifes but there was the boy that wanted to stay with the wife and talk to her and this is showing that some of the people at the time did care about the women but this book is trying to tell poeple that women need to have a role in the world and work for it at all times. But what was sad about the story was the lady husband died and it was sad to see her have to go alone in the world at the time. But in all of the story I thought it was a good story and I would tell people to read this story so they know what it was about.
